St Nicholas Day 2013




Happy Saint Nicholas day from our home to yours!

This year there were little white Christmas lights... bringing light to our dark winter days and nights.

How lovely! We have yet to decorate for Christmas, but the festivities are ramping up! We are an unseasonably cold 50F in Northern California, and they are predicting a dusting of snow in the nearby mountains. My poor kids don't have clothing warm enough for this weather!

Your St. Nicholas Day photos are lovely! This year we have been inspired by your St. Nicholas day posts and put out wooden clogs. My husband was travelling in Holland earlier this year. Yes, I was able to view the photo ~ thanks for sharing! It looks like your husband found some really nice wooden clogs in Holland. And I have never seen a St Nicholas nutcracker before, how unique!

We did St. Nicholas for the first time this year for the kids. They have stockings we hang up on my grandmothers hutch. My 2 1/2 year old was really excited about the orange which made me smile! shoveling snow and scraping ice here!
