Ikat Rollerskate Dress

KCWC

The pattern: Oliver+S Rollerskate Dress, view A, size 5
The fabrics: Kasbah/midnight from Lark by Amy Butler, lining in white cotton.
The mods: I added on-seam side pockets using Freshly Picked's free pocket pattern.

Do you think this dress looks something similar to this Girls Ikat A-line Dress Oscar de la Renta Spring/Summer 2013 ($155)? If so, then I saved a ton of money!

You darn sure saves a lot of money! $155 is craziness, someone is off their rocker!
No I think it looks BETTER than the $155 dress!

I agree, it's better! Don't you love when it's so easy to justify another fabric purchase!?!
Beautiful work Rachel!
That fabric is gorgeous, I bet it looks stunning on your daughter. Beautiful work!
I ordered the same print based on the same inspiration!
Great to see it really meets the challenge (and I agree, I like your version better).
The original dress price tag is clearly a bit too much :-)
It totally does! I love this fabric! I made some ikat shorts (for me) the Colette Iris out of them and they are a fav!
