Scandinavian Christmas Hide-and-Seek Dress

Scandinavian Christmas dress by nest full of eggs
What can I say? Christmas brings out the Scandinavian in me. I'm delighted to be joining the Scandinavian Christmas series again this year that Kathryn over at the Pickled Herring is hosting.

This year I am excited to show you the unique, one-of-a-kind Scandinavian Christmas dress I created. I was inspired by Saint Lucia who wears a white dress with red sash and a crown of green leaves.

Can you guess where the yoke fabric came from?

Project details
Pattern: Oliver + S Hide-and-Seek Dress
Size: 6
Fabrics: white linen/cotton blend, the yoke fabric is from a woven placemat!
Notions: 3 red buttons

What a great idea! It looks like it took days to embroider! So, so pretty. Merry Christmas Rachel!
Oh how lovely! Reminds me of my Norwegian grandmother!
This is just beautiful!
You are so clever!! I would have NEVER thought to look twice at a placemat for fabric...
Out. Of. The. Park. I just couldn't love this more. It's gorgeous. And a placemat?! What? Best.

What a fun find! Love it with the headband :)
Stunning Christmas dress! (I'm thinking about a version for Easter)
That is beautiful and great idea in using the woven placement for the yoke! I love the red and white colors. Hope your kids are better at keeping clothes clean than mine are LOL! :)
