What I made out of one yard

Oliver + S Popover Sundress and Made by Rae Little Geranium Dress

...of Paint by Number Deer from Erin Michael's Lush Uptown line. I'm reorganizing by sewing studio this summer, going through everything, getting rid of what I'm done with, and figuring out what to do with some of the fabrics in my stash. It was quick and easy to decide what to sew from this fabric.

In order to get these 2 dresses to fit in one yard, I made the Oliver + S Popover Sundress in size 5 and for the Made by Rae Little Geranium Dress (which is 0-3 months) I made the skirt 34 inches wide instead of 44. I still can't believe I got 2 dresses out of only one yard! Plus the secondary fabrics (from my stash) were pretty minimal.

Two dresses sewn up in one day was just the sense of accomplishment I needed right now.

These will be donated to Dress A Girl Around the World. I hope they go to sisters, wouldn't they be super cute in these coordinating dresses?

I still love that fabric! Both dresses look so cute (and would be perfect for sisters)!
I also love when I (finally) manage to sew from my stash. Talk about empowerment :))

darling!! cleaning the sewing room is a great summer project!! its on my list too but i need to get through the kids' closets first. I hope those sweet dresses land with sisters too. Hope you are enjoying your summer Rachel!!

I love them! And what awesome fabric! I'm sure any little girl would love the animal print - and an older sibling would sure enjoy it on a baby!

Perfect use of that fabric! I really should go through my sewing room and cull the stash. I know that there is fabric in there that I will probably never use.

Thanks again for the fabrics and notions. I already used the pink fabric for part of BK's new swimsuit. Kayleen wanted it but she wasn't around for me to take new measurements and it was a much better match than the pink solid I had in my stash.;)
